My research interests lie in the area of experimental social psychology, including self and identity (self-esteem, self-awareness, social identity), social cognition and cognitive regulation (social comparison, priming effects), experimental existential psychology (terror management theory, escape theory), stereotyping (stereotype threat, stereotype lift, stereotype susceptibility), and intergroup relations (system justification, group conflicts). I am also interested in the clinical applications of theory and research from social psychology (trauma, suicide).
